Micah, from Lift Interactive, calls me up the other day. He tells me he has a client needing an animated promotional video, that needs to be completed within a few weeks. After a couple short conversations hammering out some details, I am sent the script for the video. From here, I’m off to the races: recording the voice-over, illustrating the layered elements for the video, keyframing through the timeline, and adding music and sound effects.
Accepting this project, I knew that it was going to stretch me. It was a little daunting at first, but also exciting, so I decided to take it on and go all out. I have done some keyframing in the past, and have worked a little with animation, but wanted to push my boundaries to see what possibilities I might be able to unleash. I enjoyed being able to incorporate my illustrations into video. Using Photoshop, Painter, Motion, Soundtrack, and Final Cut Pro, I was able to complete this video for Appboy.
Curious to see the outcome?
